MECH HEART: OWL
 
Build, finish and take home your own Mech Heart Owl.
Work at the Makinarium workshops at Pinewood Studios for two days.
 
This practical course takes you through the process of transforming a 3D printed piece into a beautifully finished mechanical collectible.
 
Working with the Mech Heart Owl, you will learn how to prepare and hand finish 3D printed parts, prime the surfaces ready for paint and bring the piece to life using layered metallic paint effects and professional finishing techniques.
 
You will also install the mechanical heart at the centre of the piece, adding another level of detail and character to the finished Owl.
 
The course covers 3D print preparation and hand finishing, priming and surface preparation, metallic painting and ageing techniques, assembly and installation of the mechanical heart, and final detailing and finishing.
 
This is a hands on course designed around the way we approach making and finishing pieces at Makinarium. You do not need to arrive with specialist experience. We will guide you through each stage of the process and help you create a finish you are proud of.
 
Best of all, at the end of the course your finished Mech Heart Owl is yours to take home.
