NEW AT THE Makinarium Academy:

Professional COSTUME Prop Making
Vocational Foundation Programme

14TH September 2026

LEARN AT YOUR OWN PACE - AROUND YOUR OWN SCHEDULE
SUPPORTED EVERY STEP OF THE WAY

FILM FANS AND AT HOME MAKERS

You have watched the making-of documentaries.

You know the difference between a hero prop and a stunt double.

You want to build the things you have spent years admiring, to the standard the professionals use.

This programme teaches exactly that.

Every technique, every material, every finish, straight from a team that

works at Pinewood Studios.

Cosplay and Costume Builders

You already build. You know EVA foam, you understand basic casting, you can paint.

There is a gap between what you are making and the finish quality of

professional screen props.

This programme closes that gap.

We teach the finishing, weathering, structural and casting techniques that separate a hobby build from something that passes a professional quality review.

Career Changers

You want to work in film and TV as a Prop Making Assistant, Junior Model Maker or Fabrication Assistant. You do not have a portfolio yet. You may not have formal training. This programme is designed for exactly that situation. By the end of three weeks you will have four completed professional-standard pieces and the career guidance to know where to take them.
