The Wrist Device Prop Workshop is a two-day hands-on course held at the Makinarium workshop inside Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire.
You will receive a Makinarium wrist device kit - an original prop design created and owned in-house by Makinarium, with no franchise affiliation. Over two days you will assemble, detail, prime, paint and finish it to a professional screen standard. This is not a case of following instructions and filling in colour. This is a guided build where every decision about finish, wear, colour interpretation and detail work is yours, made with professional input at every step.
Day one covers kit preparation and assembly, understanding the components, correct sequencing, gap-filling, surface preparation and priming.
Day two is entirely focused on paint and finish, base coats, detailing, weathering, panel lines and the final finishing techniques that take a built kit to a screen-ready prop. You leave with a completed, fully finished wrist device that you assembled and painted yourself, at Pinewood Studios, under the guidance of a team with credits on some of the biggest productions ever made.
That is not a kit build. That is a professional qualification in miniature.
