Makinarium Returns and Refunds Policy

At Makinarium, we are committed to providing high-quality products and services. Please review our returns and refund policy carefully to understand your rights regarding purchases made through our website.

1. Physical Fabrication Courses

Booking Cancellations and Refunds:

  • Cancellations made 14 days or more before the course start date will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations made 7-13 days before the course start date are eligible for a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the course start date are non-refundable.

Rescheduling:

  • You may request to reschedule your course up to 7 days before the start date, subject to availability.

  • A rescheduling fee of £20 may apply.

No-Show Policy:

  • Failure to attend the course without prior notice will result in no refund or rescheduling eligibility.

2. Collectible Models and Kits

Returns and Refunds:

  • We accept returns of unused and unopened products within 14 days of delivery.

  • Items must be returned in their original packaging and condition.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is defective or incorrect.

Refund Process:

  • Refunds will be processed within 7 business days of receiving the returned item.

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout.

Damaged or Defective Products:

  • If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us at sales@makinarium.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage.

  • We will arrange for a replacement or issue a full refund, including return shipping costs.

3. General Terms

  • Proof of Purchase: All returns and refund requests must include proof of purchase.

  • Processing Time: Refunds may take 5-10 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your payment provider.

  • Non-Refundable Items: Gift cards, downloadable digital products, and partially assembled kits are non-refundable.

How to pay:

A deposit payment is required to hold your place on the course. You can pay in instalments by bank transfer but the balance must be paid in full a week before the start of the course. We have also set up optional online payments in The Store.

Health & Safety 

Once you sign up for a course you will be asked to fill in a health questionnaire. As we are based in a workshop where will be at times materials that are considered hazardous to health, it is your responsibility to disclose any health issues or concerns. Makinarium UK Ltd cannot be held liable for your health where non-disclosure of allergies or health issues have not been stated, and where health and safety procedures have been ignored by yourself.

Complaints Policy:

If for any reason you wish to make a complaint. Please contact us via email sales@makinarium.co.uk and we will send you our complaints form for you to fill out. We will respond to your complaint within 30 working days once we have received your completed form.

SAFETY INFORMATION FOR MODEL KITS

Warning for display/prop use only.  Not suitable for children due to small parts and choking hazard.

Wear appropriate protective equipment including gloves, dust mask and safety glasses when sanding, cutting or working with/adapting resin components.  Consider adequate ventilation a d PPE  for any process that could cause hazardous dust and inhalation.

Store components in cool dry area, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

This model kit has used compliant materials and safety tested components.  It is at the owners risk adding further components.
